W.J. Colville

W.J. (William Juvenal) Colville (1860–1917) was a prolific Anglo-American author, lecturer, and a key intellectual force in the late 19th and early 20th-century New Thought movement. Known for his "inspirational oratory," Colville was a bridge between several esoteric traditions, including Spiritualism, Theosophy, and Mental Science.

His work is characterized by a deep synthesis of ancient wisdom and modern psychological application. Colville didn't just discuss abstract theories; he focused on "Mental Therapeutics"—the idea that the human mind could achieve health, power, and spiritual regeneration through the application of universal laws.

From his explorations of Kabbalistic numerology to practical lessons on the "Law of Correspondences," Colville’s writings offer a comprehensive look at the era's transition from traditional religion to a more individualized, "psychical" spirituality.

This collection represents his lifelong effort to democratize esoteric knowledge, making it accessible to the "busy person" through lectures, handbooks, and even fiction.
