The complete works of the work of John Burroughs

John Burroughs
John Burroughs

I knew him from his book  "Accepting the universe",the book is similar to what Stoicism teach but with naturalistic view. Inspiring book..so I decided to collect his work for people who may Love nature and Insights about animals, birds and plants which was the home of John Burroughs.

John Burroughs (1837–1921) was one of America’s most beloved nature essayists and conservationists, often called a “literary naturalist.”

He combined sharp observation of the outdoors with philosophical reflection, producing books like Accepting the Universe that blend science, spirituality, and everyday experience.

This collection gathers some of John Burroughs’s most characteristic writing: essays on birds, trees, animals, seasons, travel, memory, and the life of the mind. Taken together, the books show a writer who saw nature not as scenery, but as a living presence that shaped thought, character, and belief.

Burroughs’s style is clear, calm, and observant. He moves easily between close outdoor study and larger reflections on philosophy, religion, literature, and the human place in the natural world. Some pieces are light and intimate, while others are searching and skeptical, but all are marked by patience, curiosity, and a deep trust in direct experience.
